This year’s event honored two great Scots: renowned architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, whose 150th birthday will be celebrated worldwide in June, and endurance athlete, broadcaster and philanthropist Mark Beaumont BEM was presented with the Great Scot Award. Beaumont set a new Guinness World Record in September 2017 by completing a journey around the globe in just 78 days, 14 hours, and 40 minutes.
A Celebration of Scotland’s Treasures raises funds in support of the work of the National Trust for Scotland, including the conservation of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s Hill House.
